Specifically, if anyone knows the particular automotive manufacturers that received the most from mailer campaingns, that would be helpful as well. I would also like to know what the average number of car sales yielded from an average 10,000 bulk campaign, and which manufacturer has yielded the most actual sales from a 10,000 piece campaign.

    you may want to contact the NADA (national automobile dealers’ association) or the direct marketing association (dma)- either of these trade groups might have that info- in general, any response around 3-4% is considered very good for direct mail. a big ticket item like an automobile purchase (not just a test drive) would probably be much smaller.
